According to Tendick, all of the photos embody Nicholaus, or Nick, with his big laugh or being with his family. “Nick had a big heart. I remember he came back one night without shoes and a shirt because there were kids outside that were cold. He would literally give the shirt off his back. That’s the kind of person he was,” Tendick says.
