Last Thursday Agate Alley Bistro bustled with Ethos’ Night of Fortune. The popular local band and last year’s Bandest of the Bands winner Sea Bell created the rhythm for party-goers to sway and bounce along to. With the spin wheel going, drinks were plentiful while people joined in on the dancing, went to the back room to enjoy hookah and Tarot card reading, or just sat at the bar and talked.
As the night went on, many migrated to the outside back patio to enjoy good company with friends while sharing hookah, which was provided by Al Narah Hookah Lounge. Tarot card reader Alisa McLaughlin read people’s cards of life at $4 a reading. Others joined the commotion inside and danced to the fine-tunes of Sea Bell.
“This band is so good. I really like their tunes because they are fresh and easy to groove to,” says Kelcie Rosendahl. Fellow Night of Fortune-goer Lauren Merino adds, “ I have never heard of this band before but they know how to play my favorite kind of music to dance to.” With many dancing on the floor and others standing back to take in the beat, this dance party was filled with a variety of people that all enjoyed the music just the same.
Thanks to Agate Alley, Ethos’ Night of Fortune was a success that kept people’s glasses bubbling and faces smiling.
