The campus Lesbian Gay Bisexual Transgender Queer Alliance organized an inpromptu candle light vigil to begin a four-day response to a swastika spray-painted on their office floor. The vigil featured speakers from the LGBTQA and offered a strong message of solidarity from the community.
By my count, roughly 300 people were present. This week’s events include a march, rally and forum all focusing on hate and bigotry (see the above link to the group’s website for specifics).
