University of Oregon Photojournalism Class Covers the Election

As the night of election suspense winds down, the emotions, and activity levels, of Eugene folks vary. At the Democratic Election Night Watch Party at Whirled Pies Downtown Eugene, Oregon the mood dipped, while 13th Avenue in front of Taylor’s Bar and Grill at the edge of the University of Oregon campus was a gathering place for both Trump and Hillary supporters. Just a few blocks away, outrage spilled over as UO students gathered in front of the Erb Memorial Union as Trump claimed the presidency. Photo by Justin Hartney
